The Harvard Crimson hosts numerous conferences and programs for students aged 13-18. The Programs team consists of undergraduate Harvard students from all over the globe studying a variety of fields, including history, computer science, and economics.

 

Engaging attendees in conversation with our editors and our journalism, we provide a breadth of educational opportunities to raise the next generation of reporters, writers, thinkers, and innovators.

Harvard Crimson Business Competition - Asdan China

Dec 2023 - June 2024

​Launched in the winter of 2023 in partnership with Asdan China, the Harvard Crimson Business Competition challenges participants to tackle a global issue using their business acumen. In this startup-style competition, participants will craft innovative business models through two rigorous rounds—a preliminary round (virtual submissions) followed by a thrilling championship round held in-person at The Crimson.

Harvard Crimson Global Essay Competition - Crimson Education

January - March, 2024

The Harvard Crimson Global Essay Competition brings together ambitious high school students from around the world with an interest in writing. This competition is an annual opportunity for students to showcase their talents on a global stage, compete to win exclusive educational opportunities and prizes, and explore different possibilities of a future in writing.

Harvard Crimson Global Case Competition - Crimson Education

Recently launched in the winter of 2023 in our continued partnership with Crimson Education, the Harvard Crimson Global Case Competition unites high school students across the world the opportunity to step into the shoes of a CEO and help a top global business tackle its challenges. In this immersive case-style competition, participants are presented with a real-world business challenge, and are tasked with creating innovative solutions impact recommendations.

Led by our talented and dedicated summer staff, the Summer Journalism Academy will teach students a wide set of new skills—from news reporting and writing, to designing, to the business challenges of newspapers today—that will undoubtedly help them in the classroom and in their extracurricular pursuits.

For this two-week journalism conference, experienced members of The Crimson travel to Shanghai, China, during the summer. The conference includes engaging workshops tailored to The Crimson's 10 boards, along with interactive exercises that simulate a real newsroom environment, aiming to challenge students in their journalism endeavors.

Summer & Winter Journalism and Leadership Program - TPR Korea

August 2024

This dynamic two-week journalism conference, co-hosted by experienced members of The Crimson and The Princeton Review Korea, offers a comprehensive exploration of journalism. The conference includes captivating discussions on various journalistic topics, interactive panel sessions, and stimulating exercises, providing students with an in-depth understanding and hands-on engagement in the field of journalism.

HS2 Winter Internship Program

Winter 2023

Over the course of 8 weeks, students have the incredible opportunity to learn directly from a professional in the journalism industry. This virtual series unfolds in two phases: during the first four weeks, students are led by the guest professional, followed by one-on-one mentorships with one of The Crimson’s esteemed writers to conclude the series.
